| The movie was inspired by the acclaimed Croatian picture book Catch Me a Blue Bear (Uhvati mi plavog medu) by Silvija Šesto and illustrator Vanda Čižmek. When I first read this book to my daughter, it made us laugh and brought tears to our eyes at the same time. The Blue Bear is a story about good intentions in parenting that can sometimes hinder a child's natural curiosity and desire to explore. Dirty, torn, or broken toys can also be the result of a child's developing creativity, playfulness, and emotions. It is important for a child to acquire knowledge and experiences that lead them to a more courageous exploration and examination of themselves and their relationship with the world. |
