Graduated from Film and Televison Academy in Prague (FAMU) in Film and Television Photography department. He is a member of the Academy of Film and Television Filmmakers (SR). He was awarded the Award for Contribution to Art at the Masaryk´s Academy of Arts in Prague in 1997.
